Flooded Oklahoma City homes investigated
On June 14th, heavy storms flooded Lightning Creek on Oklahoma City’s South Side. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management is now investigating at least two dozen homes to determine the overall level of damage done to properties due to the flooding. The White House has already denied FEMA assistance to Oklahoma City residents.
Officials suggest that if your house was damaged by the Oklahoma City flooding, you should take pictures of the damage and keep receipts related to water extraction and other cleanup efforts.
Homeowners dealing with flood damage described their homes as being left with “mounds of damp carpet and damaged furniture”.
