Austin Solar Day event aims to teach community about solar power

The city of Austin, in conjunction with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ 38th Photovoltaic Specialists Conference, will be holding a free event informing the community about the uses and benefits of solar power on Sunday, June 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Austin Convention Center.

Austin Solar Day will feature lectures from leaders in the solar energy industry and will allow attendees to ask questions about the clean energy source. Installation technicians will be present as well to help those interested in the renewable energy source understand the logistics of having photovoltaic cells installed in their homes or businesses.

Additionally, the event will include the High School Photovoltaic Design Competition, in which high schools from around the city will display various photovoltaic projects students have been working on.

According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, solar energy is the cleanest, most abundant form of energy we have. Here at WOW Total Cleaning, we  appreciate the benefits of cleanliness in any capacity.
