Austin celebrated recently deceased local icon Leslie Cochran’s birthday yesterday. He would have been 61 years old.
The celebration, dubbed Leslie Fest, helped raise money for Hospice Austin’s Christopher House. Admittance to the event was $10 or $7 if you came dressed up. Leslie was known for wearing thongs and high heels.
Leslie passed away in March. He was a celebrated local personality who was an avid supporter of the city’s homeless population. He even ran for mayor three times.
The Austin grease cleaning professionals of WOW Total Cleaning are proud that Leslie continues to leave a positive mark on the city, even after his untimely death.
